Review : TonyMoly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream

Hello Dears,

It has been a very long time since my last post. Of course I have a bunch of products for my skincare routine. I tried a lot samples to see if the product is safe or not for my face since my skin is very sensitive and acne prone. I don't want to add any pimples to my face :'(

Well, today I will give a review about BB cream from TonyMoly. I got it as sample gift from purchasing some items online. This BB cream supposed to give dewy finish (dewy face is very popular in Korea), that's why it is called luminous goddess aura :) Here is the picture:

pic.1. TonyMoly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream in sachet

It has SPF 37 and PA++ so it's quite able to protect my face from sunlight (FYI my city, Surabaya - Indonesia is very hot and sunny). I always look for any product which have high SPF and PA to protect my skin :)

How about the consistency? I think it is a bit watery, but not very watery. Perhaps almost the same as Etude House's Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB cream (which I have in full size).
pic.2. The Texture
This BB cream has a very light color. Although I have medium skin tone it still can fit my skin color (ah, i little bit whiter tough). I use it to my exposed areas, for example around my neck. And my clothes usually cover all part of my body, so the light color of my face using this BB cream doesn't really matter for me.
pic.3. The lower half of my hand use this BB cream, the upper don't use anything
See the color difference? This BB cream has very light color

For the result : it gives dewy finish and very light color. It doesn't easily oxidize (unless if the environment was hot and humid), at least better than my Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB cream. It gives medium to full coverage as well. I think this BB cream is great for those aspects. I just don't have fair skin and dewy finish does't really popular here. So, I need to use powder to finish my look.

Pros:

  • Good coverage
  • Doesn't easily oxidize
  • Doesn't cause any breakouts
  • Pretty dewy finish (for those who like dewy finish)
Cons:
  • Very light shade (not very suitable for those who have darker skin tone)
  • Dewy finish is not popular here in a hot and tropical country :'(
will I purchase the full size? Hmm, maybe. Well, I will really love this BB cream if it comes in a shade for medium skin tone.

That's all of my review for TonyMoly's Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream. I hope it can be of any help for you ~

Have a nice day :)

Review : Etude House Skin Malgem Smoother

Hello dears !

How are you today? I hope it has been a good day for you :)
Earlier, I have posted about Skin Malgeum Trial Kit and how the result was. After knowing the magnificent result of the trial kit, I decided to buy the full version of Skin Malgeum Smoother >.< And Two days ago it arrives at my house, yay!

The full version was about 250 ml nett. It comes in a big slightly white but transparent plastic bottle. Skin malgeum actually have many versions. The smoother is the ones with pink flower print. Smoother and Fresh (the green ones) toner for cleansing (I think), since the other three Moist, Deep Moist, and Essential are having moisturizing property. The difference between skin malgem Smoother and Fresh is that the Fresh one more suitable for oily skin and the Smother one for trouble skin. Skin malgem smoother has exfoliating property too. And it really works to prevent acne in my acne prone skin :)

pic.1. Skin Malgem Smoother in its big bottle :)

Let's talk about this product specifically. In the box Etude House says :
"Skin Malgeum hypoallergenic toner promote clean, clear, and pure complexion with moisturizing and pore cleansing formula"
The part that says "clean, clear, and pure" and "pore cleansing formula" are true. But I don't think it's moisturizes my skin enough :) Skin Malgem smoother is very good in cleansing and purifying my skin though.

The ingredients are mostly from nature extracts, either from leaf, fruit, or peel. They use extracts from many plants (Maybe that's why this toner smells fruity and flowery :) ) But, unfortunately if you are looking for a toner which doesn't contain alcohol, this toner is not for you then. Because it contains alcohol as its second ingredients.

pic.2. Skin Malgem Smoother's ingredients

But I don't think that it's a big deal. Since I found many other toners which also use alcohol and none can be as good as this toner. Beside, my sensitive skin doesn't show any bad sign, the condition even improves :) So, the alcohol is bearable.

How to use it? The toner can be used as a usual toner (using cotton pad then wipe on to your face to cleanse  your face), or can be used as mask (either using mask sheet with this toner or just damp any soft cotton in this toner then put it on your skin), and this toner can also be a face mist. A lot of functions in one toner right?I actually only used it for cleansing my face. But I want to try it as a face mask too :)

pic.3. Direction of use, in Korean so I can't read it :'(

So far I love this toner very much! Ah, it's time to give pros and cons :

Pros :

  • really works to clean my face
  • doesn't cause any breakouts
  • event prevent acne on my face
  • smells very nice (soft fruit and flower scent)
  • multi-usage
Cons :
  • Sometimes it feels hurt when applying on my skin (because of the alcohol maybe?)
Will I buy it again? : May be. But one bottle will lasts for a looong time I think :)

Well, that's all of my review. I hope it will be useful for you :)

Have a nice day :)

Review : Hada Labo Shirojyun Ultimate Whitening Lotion + Milk

Hello dears,

Today is April Mop! :) But don't worry I won't play any pranks in this post. I give my review based on my real experience just for you :)

In this post I will give you review about Hada Labo Shirojyun Ultimate Whitening : Lotion and Milk. HadaLabo is a skincare series from Japan, but they currently also producing their products in a factory in Indonesia. I wanted to try this skincare because it was sold in a drugstore in my neighborhood. That time I browse in the internet and found out that this brand already have their factory in Indonesia, that's why their price was reduced a lot than if I buy it online from Japan.

I bought two products from the whitening line. At that time I wanted to give moisture and brighten my skin tone. That's why I bought the ultimate whitening lotion and milk. Hada Labo is known for the skincare line that contains hyaluroic acid, the substance that can keep water in our skin so our skin will be hydrated very well. The whitening line also contains arbutin and vit.C to brighten the skin.

The lotion is like the toner. It has water like consistency and doesn't contain any fragrance. It's just like water. But this lotion contains Hyaluroic Acid which give hydration to our skin. Apply it by pouring some drops to your palm, then pat to your face gently. Just 2 - 3 drops will be enough to make your skin looks moisturized.
fig.2. Hada Labo Shirojyun Lotion

The milk it self just looks like a milk, but has thicker consistency than our usual milk (drinking milk has water consistency of course.. ) The application is almost the same as the lotion. But, this milk is very moisturizing. I use it in a very very small amount (just one drop!) and it already moisturizes my whole face and the other one drop for my neck. I have oily combination skin, so I don't really like using the milk since it makes my face looks more oily :( The milk also need some times to fully absorbed by my skin. But if I use in the right amount it already give my skin moisture but won't make it looks oily either.

fig.3.Hada Labo Shirojyun Milk

How about the effects? It actually gave a lot of moisture to my skin. It made my skin looks plumper and healthier. As for the brightening, my friend said that my skin looked brighter just after 3 days usage.

But, the big downside is.... it made me breakout! The first time I used it I had small pimple. But then I continued since many people said that it was the purging, where the skincare working in your skin and your skin is adapting to the skincare. But then I had some big bad pimples after some days of usage and I decided to stop to see if this skincare is the cause of the pimples. And seems like it was true. When I tried to use them again, I got the same redness again. After that I decided to stop using this product.

Perhaps my skin was too sensitive for this rich product. Beside, I've never succeeded with any whitening skincare. They usually makes me breakout. It's very disappointing since this skincare is very effective in moisturizing and brightening my face. I just can't take the breakout side effect. Until now I just use this skincare to my body because it gives moisture as well as brightening my skin :)

Will I buy it again? Perhaps no. I don't want to make any pimples reappear in my face. Beside, now I can find skincare lines that is very safe for my acne prone skin (no whitening effect of course). But, perhaps Hada Labo Shirojyun will work for other people well, because this product has an amazing hydrating and brightening effect.

That's all of my review about Hada Labo Shirojyun Ultimate Whitening Lotion and Milk. I hope this post can help you :)

Have a nice day ~

Review : Etude House's Sweet Recipe Chocolate Smudge Liner #1 Dark Chocolate

Hello Dears,

Did you remember how was your valentine? I hope it was a sweet memory, as sweet as chocolate :)

Etude House also having a new line of make up, the Sweet Recipe lines. All of the lines were inspired by sweets. Of course many girls love sweets! As for me, I was very interested in their gel eyeliner, the Chocolate Smudge Liner. The eyeliner has a very cute package, looks like chocolate. Well, I looove chocolate very much >.< That's the first reason why I bought this liner.

Sweet Recipe Chocolate Smudge liner has two color variants, #1 Dark Chocolate Brown and #2Milk Chocolate Brown. Mine is the #1 Dark Chocolate Brown.

pic.1. Etude House's Sweet Recipe Chocolate Smudge Liner #1 Dark Brown
Really looks like a chocolate, very sweet

Packaging : I have to admit that I fell in love with this eye liner because of its cute packaging. It looks like a real chocolate (I want to eat it! Droll... @.@ ) But, it came without an applicator, just the gel eyeliner. So, I have to buy separate applicator for this liner :( That's why I will give 4.5/5 for this eye liner's packaging

Content : OK, enough about the sweet packaging. Now, about the content, the eyeliner itself. This Dark Chocolate have a very dark brown color. No, I won't say it brown. I would say it black, because the black color is very pretty. Not a real black, but having a little bit of brown color. Perfect color for me!
As the other  gel eye liner, it's very easy to apply. And it dried quickly. The name is "smudge liner" but I can only smudge it immediately after applying it. It dried and hard to be smudged after 5 - 10 seconds. But I love  it! It makes this eye liner quite smudge proof :) I give 5/5 for its content

pic.2. Chocolate Smudge Liner Dark Chocolate's swatch in my hand
Left : normal, Right : smudged right after applying

Staying Power : I should say that this eyeliner have a quite good staying power. After several hours, when I smudged my eyelid, the liner faded a bit. Maybe because it was intended to be a smudge liner. I have oily eyelid, if I didn't smudge my eyes this liner can stay from morning till evening. This eye liner also quite waterproof. Sometimes I wash my face in the middle of the day and this liner still there. For staying power I give 4/5 :)

pic.3. Wash with water (just don't rub it) and it stays the same :)

Overall I love this liner. It has nice color, easy to apply, has good staying power, waterproof, and VERY CUTE packaging :) Will I buy it again? Hmm, maybe, but I wanted to try many other kinds of eyeliner. But,  I want to try the Milk Chocolate one (it has soft brown color).

That's all my review about this eyeliner. If you have any question or want to discuss, just write a comment :)
Hope this review can be helpful for you :)

Have a nice day!

Review : Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask Soft

Hello Dears,

Today I will give a review about my skincare again :) It's about my favorite mask : Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask soft type.

I got this mask few weeks ago, but I already wanted it since many months ago (just found the ready stock recently in an OL shop). I actually have some skin problems, oily-combination skin, big pores around my cheek (near my nose), and acne prone. After doing some searching and browsing trough many reviews and skincare forums, I found this one amazing mask. I fell in love with this mask in an instant :) lol..

Well, I can say that Innisfree is one of my favorite brands. They use natural ingredients, thus very safe for my acne prone skin. It was very hard for me to find right skincare which won't cause me any breakouts. I tried western skincare lines that were recommended by my mom, my mom's friends, my friends, etc. But, all of them was just making my skin problem worse :( I had a massive breakouts at that time.

Now, I'm changing my skincare line to Asian (especially Korean) skincare. And they works! One of them is this mask :) Before using my new Korean skincare, I used prescription from dermatologist to minimize my breakouts. Well, I have less skin trouble, but there were still some irritating pimples. After using my new skincare routine, I almost don't have any breakouts at all. Just one or two small pimples and they heal in one or two days. Amazing!

OK, back to the review of this mask. This is a mask from Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic line, which aims to cleanse pores and minimize them. I have big pores that can be easily clogged and causing pimples. So, I want to use this mask to cleanse my pores deeply.

pic.1. Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask : Packaging

The packaging of Innisfree are made of recycled products. They are using eco-friendly concept. They don't look cute, but I love this eco-friendly things :)

pic.2. The mask it self

This mask is a clay mask. It has soft, clay-like consistency, but it has a bit brownie color. Maybe because it was made from solidified lava (idk either .. lol ). When applied it will get hard after  15 minutes.

pic.3. Direction of use and ingredients

Explanation about this mask, direction of use, and ingredients are in its box, written in English (it's a good thing since I don't understand Korean). Innisfree claims that this mask will absorb sebum and clarify skin pores. That's what I was looking for :) And the cleansing really works for me!

Innisfree always said that they are using natural and safe ingredients in their products. Maybe that's right, because my face won't stand if they use unnatural ingredients. My skin is very sensitive and acne prone. But, in the ingredients, we can see that this mask also using alcohol. But maybe I still can stand the alcohol, since I've never had any irritation while using this mask.

How I use the mask? Before using this mask, I always cleanse my face using facial foam. Then use toner. I put the mask after toner, so that when the mask drying my face won't be very dried up. The direction said that I just need to put the mask for 10~15 mins. But I actually often leave it longer, about 30 mins. Just to make sure that the mask are all dried :) Then I wash the mask off using warm water.
The result? My face seems brighter and cleaner. Small red bumps that seems going to be pimples are gone :)

Oh, I also often put a bit of this mask on the red spot when I got pimple. In the morning the redness will be less visible. And in some days the pimple is completely gone :)

Overall, I love this mask very much, no cons! If I have to give rating, I give 5/5 for Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. I plan on buying it again if I finish the jar :)

That's all my review about Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask soft type. Hope it can help you..

Have a nice day :)
